Multi-Array Induction Tool uses multi-spacing and multi-frequency measurements to acquire a complete set of data from the formation. The tool acquires formations resisitivity from different investigation depths.

Multi-Array Induction Tool is equipped with eight groups of receiving coils, which acquire twenty-eight raw logging data in three frequencies. After correction and self-adapting software focusing processing, the logging data are converted to fifteen curves with three vertical resolutions and five radial investigation depths. The minimum vertical resolution is 11.81 in (30cm); the maximum investigation depth is 88.58 in (225cm).

Multi-Array Induction Tool is an important logging tool for oil/water differentiation and oil saturation evaluation.

The resisitivity curves with high vertical resolution are essential in laminated sand/shale reservoirs for thin layer delineation and oil saturation calculation. The resisitivity curves with five radial investigation depths can be further processed to present invasion profile image or oil/water saturation profile image, which presents a clear picture for invasion and oil/water zone identification. Multi-Array Induction Tool can work in water-based mud, oil-based mud or air filled borehole.

Multi-Array Induction Tool

Features

Multi-Array Induction Tool Coil system adopts asymmetry structure with one transmitter coil and eight receiver coils. It works at three frequencies.

Multi-DSP and array coil system are adopted in the tool. The multi-channel, multi-frequency weak signal pick-up in the tool is achieved by real-time calibration, digital filtering and digital phase-sensitive detection technology. A lot of mechanical and electronic measures have been taken for reaching the desirerable tool stability and high reliability.

Due to the excellent performance, high reliability and high accuracy of Multi-Array Induction Tool, many oil companies decide to adopt Multi-Array Induction Tool as one important part of their logging program.
